Cocalico Pet Companion was established in 1992 as one of the first pet sitting businesses in Berks County. A small personally owned business that offered doggie daycare and home visits to care for friends and neighbors pets while they traveled or vacationed so they wouldn't have to kennel their pets. As word spread, more and more calls came in for these types of services and after a year of doing pet sitting part-time, Cocalico Pet Companion was born to be a full-time pet sitting business. Fifteen years later and a few hundred clients signed on, we care for most all animal species.

From small caged pets like hamsters and rabbits to amphibians, birds, dogs, cats and hobby farm animals such as horses, goats, and sheep, we care for them all. Without intention, this pet sitting business has even delivered litters of puppies, kittens, foals, and a calf. Sometimes the animals are not willing to wait for their owner to return home to give birth if they have been bred and are expecting. That is why it is so important that we are first aid certified and ready for anything to happen.

Today we are fully licensed, bonded and insured and are a successful business serving the communities of Southern Berks, Northern Chester and Western Montgomery counties.

At Cocalico Pet Companion pet sitting service, we come to your pets and care for them in their own surroundings with familiar sites, sounds and smells. Your pet remains happier, more content and stress free. Your pets will receive the love and attention they are used to getting from you, their owner. At home, with visits from Cocalico Pet Companion, they can relax and be themselves in the comfort of their own home sweet home.

• We provide security for your home, alternating lights, watering plants, bringing in the mail and newspaper, taking out the trash and just giving your home that lived in appearance. Never worry about your home or pets again whenever you have to travel or be away.
  
  
• Cocalico Pet Companion is insured and bonded for your and your pets' safety. All sitters are certified in Pet First Aid and CPR and are required to complete the Pet Sitters International Accreditation Course and testing.
  
  
• We do daily dog walks, in the middle of the day, keeping your pets happy when you can't be there.
  
  
• We can transport your pets to and from the vet or groomer, so you don't have to miss work.
  
  
• Cocalico Pet Companion does limited overnight visits in your home.
